Tess Campbell is an artist and freelance videographer based in Hobart, Tasmania whose primary focus is film and drawing.  Her practice aims to understand the contemporary world, its global fixation, the history of modernity and utopian idealism. She is concerned with the effects and modes of today's image production and the liberalising project of western capitalist democracies. She presents her work in the form of drawings and collage, fictional performances in film and reconstructions of archival video.
